Grants

Meetings will follow the schedule published by the Academic Senate. Subcommittee meetings will be scheduled at the discretion of the chair and members of the each subcommittee.

 

Duties

  1. To promote faculty awareness of grant availability.
  2. To encourage faculty to apply for grants.
  3. To develop workshops, seminars and symposia on grants.
  4. To encourage each departmental representative to keep his/her department informed of all matters pertaining to fellowships and related workshops by posting appropriate announcements on the departmental bulletin board and by discussing grants issues at departmental meetings.

Membership

Standing Representation:

Representative of the Office of Academic Affairs or designee
Assistant Dean for Sponsored Programs and Research, Office of Institutional Advancement or designee
Vice President of Finance or designee
Vice President for Institutional Advancement or designee

Other Representation:

Members are appointed by the Appointments/Tellers/Election Committee with a view toward representation by every academic department. (Departments not having appointed members to the committee shall provide the name of a departmental contact person)

One student representative and one alternate shall appointed by the Student Government Association.
