Perform the duties prescribed in the bylaws as follows:
To adjudicate charges of student misconduct that the Assistant or Associate Dean of
Students believes could result in suspension or expulsion. Hearings of such cases
are conducted according to procedures defined in the current Student Code of Conduct.
To periodically review the Student Code of Conduct and, if necessary, make recommendations
for changes to the Academic Senate. Proposed changes in the Student Code of Conduct
will be reviewed with the Vice President for Academic Student Services before submission
to the Senate.
Continue to provide formal training to committee members on judicial issues.
Work with the Affirmative Action Committee and the Affirmative Action Officer to determine
if the current language on bias and discrimination within the Student Code of Conduct
needs to be updated particularly the college response to hate crimes.
As requested by the Administration, review and update the Student Code of Conduct
Manual to be in compliance with all state and federal regulations that apply.
Email the statement from the Student Code of Committee that outlines classroom management,
academic dishonesty and plagiarism to all NCC faculty in the beginning of Fall 2018,
Spring 2019 and Summer 2019 semesters.
#Review the Student Code of Conduct Policy to ensure that it is applicable to students
enrolled in online classes.
