- Perform the duties prescribed in the bylaws as follows:
- To engage in ongoing review of policies, procedures and conditions relating to enrollment
management issues from admissions through retention and gradua¬tion.
- To study and recommend policies relating to those areas within the jurisdiction of
the Academic Senate.
- To serve as liaison between the Academic Senate and those College offices responsible
for the enrollment management process.
- *Continue to use Banner to survey the students who withdraw from class (es) and “Stop
Out” from the College. Evaluate the data generated from these surveys to make
recommendations to improve persistence and retention. Report to the Academic Senate
in
writing.
- *Continue to monitor and review the Academic Progress Report as part of ongoing
retention efforts and make recommendations for increased use by faculty and students.
Report to the Academic Senate in writing.
- Work with the College Administration to achieve the following objectives and report
to the Academic Senate on the College’s progress.
- Monitor Student Enrollment
- Increase student persistence, course completion, retention, and graduation rates consistent
with high academic standards.
- nvestigate the effects of course cancellations on student enrollment.
- Identify any issues students may have with the registration process. Make
recommendations to the Academic Senate Executive Committee.
- *In recognition of the important role that the Greenhouse serves to foster student
retention, continue to investigate possible options to keep the Greenhouse viable.
- #Create a Retention Initiatives guide to provide a list of ideas that faculty can
utilize to help with Collegewide retention. Present ideas during the NCC Spring 2019
Colloquium.
